My great-grandfather was George McCartney of Belfast. He married Helena McShane. They had a boy, George, and my grandmother Alice Kathleen. There may have been another girl.

My grandmother was born March 19, 1902 in Belfast. They lived at 10 Carntall St. (I am not sure of the writing on the birth certificate).

All I know is that George McCartney was a Merchant Marine with his brother. My grandmother, Alice, was raised by Francis and Alice Bowles (not sure of the Bowles spelling).
