This inquiry was sent by Rebecca Fulmer. If you have any related information, please contact her at rljennings@aol.com.

I have hit a brick wall at my 5great-grandmother, Rebecca McCartney. What we know of her is shown below.

Rebecca McCartney was born abt 1808. We do not know where she was born, but family legend is that she emigrated by ship, presumably from Ireland. She died on 22 October 1861 in Tennessee. She is buried in the Cherry Avenue section of the Nashville City Cemetery.

We know nothing about her husband, but she had three children:

Her oldest child was a son named William who was born abt 1835. William married Millie M. Parrish. She was born abt 1834. They had one son that we know of; Robert Spragin, born 4 May 1852.

Robert was adopted by another family on 5 August 1856 and his name was changed to Robert Spragin White. He died in Alabama on 23 January 1926.

Her two other children were a daughter, born abt 1838, and a son Thomas, born abt 1845. Unfortunately, we know nothing more about them.

If anyone has nay inforemation about Rebecca or her children, please contact me.

Thank You.
